Définition :
Following an interview and the actual selection of a worker for a job, he is assigned to the actual work place, department, or operation in which he is to perform his regular functions. Although the employee obtains information concerning the company, its background, and organization during the interview, it usually rests with the immediate supervisor to introduce the new employee to his particular job, and those other employees with whom he will be in close association. The induction process may be relatively brief, at which time the supervisor informs the individual about his hours of work, the general shop rules and policies, the location of time clocks, and other routine items. The induction procedure should give the individual confidence and acceptance on his job as well as establish an easy working relationship between him and other workers on the job.
