French to English translations [PRO]

This is a heading which appears several times in my text. The text is about the treatment of waste waster and billing for water and electricity.
Example:
Pour la facture d'acompte (premier semestre), l'assiette de consommation pour le volume distribué est calculée sur une estimation fonction des 2 derniers relevés (en général 50 % de l'année passée - valeur pouvant varier suivant les contrats de délégation).
What kind of billing is this? Acompte seems to mean instalment, deposit and advance.

what this means is that the invoice for the 1st semester is an advance payment of the overall invoice to come at a later date, and is based on the last 2 meter readings (in general 50% of the previous year) this amount can vary depending on the type of contract.
acompte en volume = advance in volume (i.e. advance payement based on a volume which is indicated on the bill).
This is the standard type of billing for utilities in France and French territories.
