French term or phrase: je suis entendu
Je prends note que je suis entendu a titre de renseignements, au sujet de...

A statement about a general complaint starts with the above sentence.

Does the phrase "(Je prends note que) je suis entendu" just mean "(I note that) I have been heard" or have I misunderstood?

I would be very grateful for help with this please.

English translation:(I note that) I am being given a hearing..... (explanation)
Explanation:
I note that you are taking my statement for purposes of information....

This is however officialese and there may be a set terminology for it.

But this is literally how the sentence should be understood

agree  Robin Levey: Yes, that's the meaning - perhaps with '...statement *only* for purposes of information ...', implying 'not for other purposes bearing a greater degree of legal rsponsability or expertise'.
