French term or phrase: anticiper
A company has just formed a joint venture with similar companies in other countries. In a message to employees of the first company, an executive says that this deal "va nous permettre, à tous, d'anticiper." Any thoughts on what "anticiper" means in this context and how to translate the quoted phrase? Thanks in advance.

anticiper (in this context)
to be ahead of the game

Explanation:
medium confidence because this is not enough information - if you could give the sentence after (and before), we might be able to be more precise

anticiper (in this context)
To evaluate and to foresee

Explanation:
"anticiper", here, means to take advantage of the experience of the others and to make application of it. So we know, what we could expect. We know what succeeds in this context and which mistakes are to be avoided. So, what happens over there is an anticipation of what we could live.
That's why in this anticipation I saw actions of evaluation that help us to foresee what we will do. I can hardly translate it by one verb. Maybe does somebody have a better idea ?
