professionalisation of the armed forces Explanation: Assuming you're looking for "professionnalisation des Armees" rather than "professionnalisme des Armees" I'd recommend professionalisation of the armed forces or conversion of the armed forces to a professional military. France suspended peacetime military conscription in 1996, while those born before 1979 had to complete their service (see related BBC News article); since the Algerian War of Independence (1954-62), conscripts had not been deployed abroad or in war zones, except those volunteering for such deployments. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_service#France la professionnalisation des armées et son corollaire : la suspension de la conscription dans le cadre du Service National. professionalisation of the armed forces and its corollary, ending conscription within the context of National Service. http://www.dasasurveys.mod.uk/php/dp/index.php?c=1&l=both&m=... With the ending of conscription and the professionalisation of the armed forces in several countries, at a time when armies in many member States are seeing action in the same theatres of operations, the Assembly resolutely promotes the shared principles to be used to guide army action and govern the conditions under which they discharge their duties. http://assembly.coe.int/Main.asp?link=/Documents/WorkingDocs... |
