neutral  Rob Grayson: You seem to be assuming that "enseigne" refers to franchises, which isn't necessarily the case

-> true, I did make that assumption based on the context provided

agree  fourth: "enseigne" and "salon" always equates to franchise fairs to me.

neutral  Emma Paulay: Brand is fine, but I think you need to mention that it is a single brand event.

Explanation:
It rather depends on the context. Please could you provide more context?

OK, Writeaway, I see what you are referring to, and I acknowedge that I should alter my answer. However, I'm not sure how to do this.

Notes to answerer
Asker: More context: it's not strictly a "franchise" business since it hosts a very wide range of shows, from agricultural machinery to insurance products.

Peer comments on this answer (and responses from the answerer)
neutral  writeaway: it does depend on the context, so why are you posting 100% confidence level? /in any case, I think you have mistranslated the meaning of salon in this context

inter-company event

Explanation:
Writeaway's ref and a bit of googling show it to be an event involving a single company or brand or chain. I think I would say "event" rather than fair or exhibition. "Fair" might also work.

Salons d'enseigne :
