French term or phrase: action à tiroirs
From a furniture company's internal newsletter:

"Pour profiter de l’écho médiatique du tournoi Roland Garros, (name of company) a imaginé tout un dispositif national de lancement de la chambre (name of range) avec des actions à tiroirs."

interlocking actions
Explanation:
"Action à tiroirs" appears to be used (looking at the ghits) to describe films with stories that are interwoven, multi-layered, especially when talking about the new Christopher Nolan film Inception:

"Et, last but not least, sacrifie à son savoir-faire perso : le récit à tiroirs. Soit un rêve dans le rêve du rêve Ou le cinéma revu à l’image des jeux de plate-formes. "
http://www.lalibre.be/culture/cinema/article/597431/mission-...

"Nolan constructs an interweaving story that keeps your brain active..."
http://www.examiner.com/x-45470-Denver-Movie-Theater-Examine...

"Christopher Nolan ... allows his characters to chase and shoot across multiple levels of reality"
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1375666/externalreviews

So I'm seeing its use here as the launch of a campaign with interlocking actions, happening on different levels (ads, press events, consumer actions, etc. etc.), but all interconnected....

Hope it helps!

exciting

Explanation:
It's a play on words, but it does not carry over into English.

''Tiroir'' meaning ''drawer'', as in furniture, but ''à tiroirs'' meaning ''episodic'', as in an event or movie with many episodes.

Un film d'action à tiroirs mené avec brio, qui offre à Leonardo DiCaprio sa première incursion dans la SF.

neutral  juliebarba: there are lots of other poor jokes that involve "drawers" in English. Try working in a office, you hear it everyday!

-> The dirty office joke association ''tiroirs'' - ''drawers'' was not AT ALL what I had in mind. If you think this is what is meant, please feel free to post an answer.

neutral  Chris Hall: I am not sure of the answer myself, but I am not convinced by this suggestion.
