French to English translations [PRO] Bus/Financial - Business/Commerce (general)
Not sure how one would say this here, specifically in this context. It is not a paid position but mainly created for practical purposes to enable decisions to be made should the President or Vice-president be unavailable.
"Vice" In other words an American approach.
We have hundreds of Vice Presidents being little more than salesmen. In a company environment. Clearly Associations don't have Managing Directors But here it's an association which is entirely different. We are probably thinking of a Vice Chairman.

Well, an "administrateur délégué" is someone of the board of management who is delegated by that same board to actually run the company on a day-to-day basis. He is also payed in one form or another. He is in fact the actual managing director or CEO, and not a simple replacement.
On the other hand, a board has indeed a president and a vice-president, but they don't actually run the business.

Asker: Yes, I know it has been asked before (by myself, actually!), which is why I said "here"...
The client is not happy with "CEO", which would imply a paid position. As I said, it is a position created mainly for practical, administrative purposes to enable decisions to be made should the President or Vice-president be unavailable. The notary (in Belgium, as it is a Belgian association) seems very familiar with this specific position, and I wondered if there was an equivalent in English?
Asker: Further information from the notary:
