Reference information: Trying to find some evidence that valorisation = costing here and in your other related questions, I came across the following which appears to provide confirmation in your context of gas trading.
LE MODELE DE VALORISATION DES CONTRATS LONG TERME : LE PRIX DU GAZ A LA FRONTIERE EST INDEXE SUR LE COURS DU PETROLE
Historiquement, et pour la très grande majorité des volumes commercialisés (environ 95% en 2009), le prix du gaz aux frontières de l'Europe et des pays de consommation est indexé sur les cours des produits pétroliers.
En particulier le fuel-oil lourd et le gasoil de chauffage qui constituaient les principales énergies alternatives au gaz naturel au moment de son déploiement en Europe il y a 30 ans, mais aussi plus marginalement le pétrole brut (Brent) ou le charbon. La parité Euro Dollar impacte directement les prix indexés pétrole.
La valeur du gaz sur le marché aval n'est pas soumise à l'équilibre entre l'offre et la demande de gaz, mais s'établit sur base d'un modèle de valorisation dit "net-back".
Ce modèle de coût est essentiellement utilisé par les importateurs et fournisseurs historiques dont l'approvisionnement est pour majorité assuré dans le cadre de contrats long terme, le gaz étant acheminé des pays de production vers l'Europe essentiellement
au moyen d'un réseau de pipelines peu flexible en terme de destination.
C'est jusqu'à présent le modèle qui sert à l'établissement des tarifs régulés.
