A car manufacturer's spare parts classification system is being revised to bring it into line with a partner company's system.
"Nous avons donc étudié une modification plus complète de la hiérarchie article utilisée dans nos systèmes pièces de rechange, dans un quadruple souci d’homogénéisation de nos suivis respectifs de l’activité, de notre volonté commune de renforcer **l’animation par les marges**, le besoin de simplifier nos démarches prix et celui de faciliter l’harmonisation les prix des pièces communes avec X, pays par pays".
It goes on to say that the development of a new "market classification" system for spare parts has focused on a number of objectives, one of which is:
"- renforcer l'animation par les marges auprès des Réseaux"

I'm presuming that "marges" are profit margins, but don't really know what the "animation" refers to. I'm toying with the idea of "margin-driven sales push" or words to that effect but I'm just guessing really.
