Bus/Financial - Business/Commerce (general)
French term or phrase: s'assurer de la bonne appropriation client
I have no idea what this means and would welcome any pointers. Appears in a document entitled 'LA FEUILLE DE ROUTE DE LA VENTE COMPLEXE' (roadmap for complex or strategic selling). Intended for a managment training course about sales techniques. Various key stages in this 'roadmap' are listed and clarified:
1.Approcher le bon interlocuteur
2.Découvrir la douleur
3.Identifier acteurs & jeux d'influence
4.Elaborer une proposition de valeur
5.Gagner l'affaire
6.Réaliser la mission
7.Développer le partenariat

This phrase appears under no. 6 Réaliser la mission:
- Veiller au succès des premières prestations
- Accompagner les populations concernées pendant la phase de lancement
- S‘assurer de la bonne appropriation client
- Procéder à des évaluations régulières
- Faire en sorte que les commanditaires soient informés des premières réussites
- Rectifier immédiatement les éventuels écarts constatés

English translation:make sure the client understands is satisfied with the concept
Explanation:
- ensure the first services are a success
- support the individuals concerned during start-up
- make sure the client has espoused the cause/is duly convinced
-......

it means that the client must adopt the product/service/solution as though he had thought of it himself

Sorry this is not a neat package to cut-and-paste but a lot depends on your style and on what the product/service being provided really is

agree  Tom Bishop: I think that your earlier proposal is better, as endorsement probably comes at a later stage in the process (and I would assume that the course is generic rather than product/service specific).
