Law/Patents - Certificates, Diplomas, Licenses, CVs
French term or phrase: Diplôme d'avocat
This is the subtitle of the CV that I'm translating into GB English

Juriste - Droit des Affaires
Diplôme d'avocat

I should also mentioned that further down in the CV, it is specified that this "Diplôme d'avocat" was obtained from the "école du barreau"

I'm thinking of translating "Diplôme d'avocat" as "Admitted to the Bar"
Is it safe to assume that she is admitted to the bar. I'm just worried that maybe after getting the Diplôme d'avocat there might be further steps (like an interview, etc.) before actually being admitted to the bar.

agree  AllegroTrans: I think that's the nearest we can get in English - but I would use "Diplôme d'avocat (French Bar examination certificate)" i.e. retaining the French

disagree  AllegroTrans: it is normal to obtain a law degree BEFORE qualifying, so this certificate is not a degree

Asker: Thank you. This website is very interesting. Perhaps the person obtained the CAPA but did not "prêter serment" and did not do the 2-year "stage". She did mention on her CV that she did a 6-month "stage du barreau" (but that was probably to obtain the CAPA).
