Richard Levy: 2:05am May 1, 2008: Antimoine ss forme Sb - Based on your help and what you all know, I also found in Canada's Termium Plus, Antimony is the current name of Stibium:

OBS – Metallic element of atomic number 51; Group VA of the Periodic Table. Two stable isotopes. Properties: Aw 121.75, valences 3, 4 and 5: silver-white solid ... Ores: Stibnite, kermasite, tetrahedrite, livingstonite, jamesonite. ... Derivation: Reduction of stibnite with iron scrap; direct reduction of natural oxide ores. ... Use: Hardening alloy for lead ..., type metal ..., pyrotechnics. Source, record 3, Observation 1 - antimony

OBS – antimony: term adopted by Environment Canada; used in the list of pollutants measured in the National Air Pollution Surveillance Network (NAPS). Source, record 3, Observation 2 - antimony

OBS – Symbol: Sb

But, I am still not sure of what the ss stands for.

ss --> sous --> "in the form of"

If my 40+ year-old recollections of school chemistry are correct, Sb is the chemical symbol of pure antimony. So the sentence of the question is referring to "antimony in the pure form".
