Bonjour,

il s'agit toujours de l'argumentaire de défense d'un herbicide bananier.

La coupe des adventices n’a pas l’efficacité d’un traitement herbicide et un nombre important de passages est nécessaire

J'ai du mal à trouver l'expression pour traduire ici "le nombre de passages" (nombre de traitements) sans répéter
le terme "treatment" of course..

Explanation:
The first time round I wrongly assumed that the herbicide had to be used repeatedly. I think you need to turn the sentence round.
