From an academic paper on cinema:

"Mais le tableau est une représentation statique de quelque objet ou de quelque événement à un moment déterminé, par contre le spectacle filmique est la représentation des processus continus dans leur étapes successives ainsi que des événements et des objets qui y participent, et cette représentation a lieu au moyen de séries ***d'aspects*** fluides.

Dans le spectacle filmique il se passe toujours quelque chose, et ceci dans les deux sens: a) dans la couche des objets représentés il se passe quelque chose avec des personnages et les objets, de même que les processus montrés dans le film changent dans leur cours; b) dans la couche des ***aspects*** s'accomplit un changement continuel de leur contenu et de leur succession. Certains disparaissent, d'autres apparaissent.
