French to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Computers: Hardware / Mobile phone testing / parts

Clarification request(s) and response
Bourth: 4:02pm Mar 28, 2008: Have difficulty imagining where "vérins", "roulements", and "roulettes" fit in with mobile phones. More context? Might this be a trans. from Eng. (it reads awfully), for it MIGHT be jack (= plug) mistranslated, but I still don't see the bearings & rollers
Bourth: 4:46pm Mar 28, 2008: Ignore that. I was thinking of testing the electronics of phones, not the mechanics of keypads, hinged sections, etc. Actuator looks right. Presumably they also test earphone/mouthpiece jack insertion to a certain number of cycles.

actuating cylinder

Explanation:
It seems we are on a set (movie set). I'd rather use actuating cylinders as these take a hyddraulic power supply while I'm not sure electrically operated actuators are used on sets or stage. Actuator is more at "actionneur" these days although they also use actuator for vérin. I'd gladly share a brownie with Miranda :-)

agree Michael GREEN: In the context, I think "actuator" is more likely to be used here : but it would be nice if Asker could provide a picture ...
