Tech/Engineering - Computers: Software / Site testing of application | | French term or phrase: non intégrable en "Tel Que Codé" | Good morning!
The following sentence occurs in a software development plan, in a section relation to on-site installation and testing of an application.
"En cours d'essais sur site, les petits ajustements tels que straps, shunts, correctifs non intégrables en "Tel Que Codé" (TQC) sont tracés par l'équipe de test sur site".
The inverted commas around Tel Que Codé appear in the French text.
Googling "correctif non intégrable" and "patch non intégrable" strike a blank.

I know nothing technical about electricity or computing, my degree is just French language and literature. However, as there have been no other suggestions yet, I offer the above as purely linguistic input, based mainly on the idea that intégrer X en (OU dans) Y means to incorporate X into Y, add X to Y, include X in Y. (As you probably know, intégrer need not imply any technical or mathematical meaning in French.)
I assume that the straps and shunts are physical electrical components and that the correctifs are program patches, and therefore that the phrase non intégrables en Tel Que Codé only refers to the correctifs - giving the meaning that the patches cannot be incorporated into the code as originally written.
I read the Tel Que Codé as a phrase used as a noun, hence suggest the As Coded part. |

Asker: Thanks for your input, Stephen. It would be nice if someone could corroborate this as I understood that the patches could not be integrated *as* "As-coded" something-or-other (as opposed to *into*). Where's Charlie B when you need him! ;-)
