Can anyone confirm that this should be translated by "Dead Strip"?

Contexte:
Le filtrage des variables analogiques permet de limiter le nombre de notifications des évolutions des E/S Analogiques.
Les deux paramètres permettant de limiter ces notifications sont la bande morte et le rafraichissement.
a.    La bande morte
La bande morte est une valeur exprimée en pourcentage qui permet de limiter les notifications des évolutions des E/S Analogiques.
Cette bande morte est utilisée de la manière suivante :
Si la bande morte est de x%, alors seules les évolutions des variables analogiques dépassant x% de leur dernière valeur seront importées.
Exemple : Bande morte = 10%.
%QW5.0=257. Tant que les valeurs suivantes de %QW5.0 sont comprises entre 257-10% et 257+10% c'est à dire entre 232 et 282, aucune notification ne sera envoyée vers le logiciel d'exploitation.
