loading
Explanation:
If 'dans' is the operative word, I believe you should speak of the "loading of data into the database" rather than the "unloading of data from the database".

Depending on your context, a more accurate equivalent is \"offloading\", i.e. removing data from a computer and putting it on another computer or storage medium.
Web example: We have data that must be held in memory, and could overload the server if they are not offloaded to a database.

To populate the database = peupler la base de données.
Dump, on the other hand, could be an alternative here, although it has other meanings in computer applications that may not be the equivalent of \'decharger/-ment\'.

Antony: I think Dump is probably it...deversement de données are database dumps...not loading..

it\'s when all the data is replaced at once including how it is organized..

whereas I believe populating the database means putting in the data once the relational design has been made

neutral  Charlie Bavington: Loading is usually "chargement", true; similarly population is usually "alimentation". But my main point is - could you decide whether your answer is populating or dumping, 'cos they're more or less opposite terms :-) [data 'in' versus data 'out']

-> My answer is not Loading or Dumping, Charlie..It is Dumping or Populating....and not loading...do you think you could allow me to answer the way I do? Thanx

agree  Charlie Bavington: In the phrase given, I'd tend to agree. Most google hits appear to use a construction of "déversement des données DE x DANS y" (unloading from x into y) which at least makes sense. Without a "de", I guess you have to just say "loading"

-> Exactly. Without more context, it all hangs on the preposition. Thank you, Charlie.

neutral  Jane Lamb-Ruiz: loading is chargement..not deversement, deversement is dump or populating
