Likewise "entourage" - I guess the author didn't want to repeat "environnement", but I'm not sure you have that luxury, unless you have a thesaurus handy :-)
As for "seuls", the meaning is clearly the usual one of alone, single-handed etc, and I was in fact gonna suggest "with no external/outside support" (which is, I feel, what it means), until I checked Coll-Rob and saw "unaided", which I think is a bit snappier and works OK in the context. |
