French to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Computers (general) / technical parts of insurance policy
French term or phrase: dans les conditions de disponibilité et d'intégrité nominales
This part of the policy relates to computer systems and year codes:

"On entend par 'dysfonctionnement imputable au codage de l'année':
Pour les matériels électroniques et informatiques ou plus généralement les biens utilisant des circuits intégrées, des microprocessuers ou des composants similaires, le fait de ne pas pouvoir continuer en raison du codage de l'année, à assurer l'intégralité des fonctions pour lesquelles ils ont été conçus dans les conditions de disponibilité et d'intégrité nominales"

It's the word 'nominales' that puzzles me and I wondered whether it was a typo for 'normales'?
Pamela Hewitt
English translation:under nominal conditions of availability and integrity
Explanation:
I don't see a problem with nominal in this sentence.... I could be missing something though. It functions similarly to 'hypothetical'. What do others think?
