French to English translations [PRO] Computers (general) / Questionnaire about Computer Confidentiality | | French term or phrase: être à croc | Hi, I am translating the answers to a questionnaire about computer and Internet confidentiality. Unfortunately, I only have the answers and not the questions... Here's the answer:
je ne suis pas a croc à la grande confidentialité
Any ideas?
Thanks! |
| | Clarification request(s) and responseDee Braig: 6:55am Jun 1, 2007: Hi, the phrase [properly spelt] is "être accro". BusterK: 8:43am Jun 1, 2007: Just for clarity's sake, the correct spelling meaning are the following:
accro (for accroché) = the proposals below, addict for me
avoir les crocs = starving
accroc = tear
à cran = on edge (to be) Drmanu49: 8:44am Jun 1, 2007: This is definitely accro. Hattie Hill: 1:51pm Jun 1, 2007: Probably is "accro"... this questionnaire is FULL of misspellings!

| | not a fan of | Explanation: I don't think you need to be too literal for this one.
I'd put something like
"I'm not a fan of privacy" |

| to be crazy about
Explanation: I have heard it before - I'm pretty sure it means to be crazy or mad about something or someone (e.g. je suis à croc de lui). So, in this instance, "I'm not crazy about" to retain the slang.
