This is an isolated sentence in an Excel sheet relating to an information system. Most of the document is legal (my specialisation) but there are some technical terms I'm unfamiliar with, this being one of them!

Explanation:

Not sure whether it fits the context, even though it is an IT term.

neutral  Tony M: 'thin configuration' certainly does get a thin sprinkling of Google hits, but I remain slightly unconvinced...

I think it probably means on basic, unsophisticated equipment - so will it run on a basic office PC or does it need a powerful computer to run it?
