agree  Steffen Walter: ... although I'd use the singular "silica fume". Cf. http://www.silicafume.org/general-silicafume.html and http://www.fhwa.dot.gov/infrastructure/materialsgrp/silica.h... (which also lists "microsilica" as a synonym).
