peer agreement (net): +4thermowell Explanation: not my field at all, but found via research out of curiosity DOIGT DE GANT / PRESSION STATIQUE Un doigt de gant (appelé également douille de protection) doit être installé pour des pressions statiques supérieures à 10 bar, pour des applications où le fluide à mesurer circule à grande vitesse et pour des fluides corrosifs. Le doigt de gant permet d’ôter le thermomètre sans affecter l’étanchéité du système et sans devoir interrompre le processus (ex. pour une calibration ou pour changer le thermomètre). THERMOWELL / STATIC PRESSURE A thermowell has to be installed for static pressure above 10 bar, for high velocity applications, and for corrosive fluids.
