French term or phrase: eau glycolée
A thermal fluid. Although our glossary uses 'glycol water' I have not found any serious sources using that terminology. It seems to me that glycolised (zed in the US) water would be a better translation. I searched the DOW manufacturing site; they are a huge producer of thermal fluids. Nowhere does the term glycol water appear... (http://www.dow.com)

Actually, what appear throughout are glycol + water combinations...

What are your thoughts, if any, on this?

Here is the context:

BTW, it is only water and glycol mixed together. DOW would not sell it but might sell glycol. There is probably nothing wrong to use "glycol water" or any combination of the 2 words.

I do not think 'glycolised' would be appropriate, though.

As I said before, I like this, and I think it's precisely what is needed in this context, unless one uses a chemical formula such as provided by Karen. Thank you!

Notes to answerer
Asker: I am going with your answer, for sure! I asked the question because I was dissatisfied with glycol water, and could not find any terminology that would fit... Unfortunately, we are in the age of 'ghits' which make people think an answer is right when it is not. So I am very grateful for your research and links.

Asker: Actually, this would have been perfect as a footnote to what I was translating, but the client wanted a term that was easy to say and to remember, and glycolated water fit the bill... Thanks for this!
