Tech/Engineering - Construction / Civil Engineering / Cement
French term or phrase: nerveux
"- Mode d’emploi

....

Quelques règles simples

Nature du ciment : plus le ciment utilisé est ***nerveux***, par exemple par ordre décroissant : CEM I 52,5R, CEMII 42,5 R, CEM I 52,5 N, CEM II 42,5 N, etc., moins [product name] aura une attaque profonde."

Now I understand that the more "nervous" a cement is, the more heat it generates and the quicker it will become resistant, making it ideal for building in cold weather.

I have looked up construction companies in Canada, thinking they would know a thing or two about building in cold weather and might even boast on their website about how nervous / stressed-out/ jumpy / hyperactive their cement is, but nothing.

responsive?

reactive?

Thanks in advance.

It was this late strength increase that improved the durability of the good old concretes made with non-'nervous' cement.
