French to English translations [PRO] Cooking / Culinary | | French term or phrase: longuet | This is some kind of long cake pan - a Flexipan mould. Is there are word in English for "longuet" -I'm pretty sure it isn't "bread stick" in this case:
Dans un moule flexipan **longuet** et à l’aide d’une poche pâtissière, dresser 140 g de pâte à XX par **longuet**.

'petit pain biscotté mince et long (gressin)'
In English the only words we use for this type of thing is the Italian grissini (always in its plural form) or breadstick. As the typical 'longuet' is rather different, I would be inclined to keep the word, and perhaps put breadstick in brackets. |
