The only translation I can find is 'fluffy', which obviously doesn't fit. I would be very grateful for any other ideas!

This link below refers to leather! but hey, the concept is the same, it really doesn't appear to me that we are talking silky here:

my logic here is that it comes in the same sentence as uneven texture:

As it makes me think teddybear, I too think fluffy, but I don't think that it's a good thing here - makeup is supposed to be matt & smooth....

maybe grainy even then if it's like a gommage.....which is essentially a mixture with bits, grains in to smooth the skin...

I'm not sure why I've got 2 disagrees below when clearly the cream is producing an uneven effect...yet based on those comments, how about a fibrous texture? we can't use fluffy as it's frequently used in a positive way for creams - meaning light and fluffy. |

well, it's better than 'fluffy', anyway... Google shows that it is often used of apricots and peaches, so why not human skin?

Asker: Yes, that's an idea. I'm not absolutely sure whether 'pelucheux' is good or bad, though, and I think 'downy' would be good.
