French to English translations [PRO]
Cosmetics, Beauty / hairdressing
French term or phrase: travaillée en amont
Pour la couleur, sur une base blond clair, on crée un blond cuivré vénitien sur l’ensemble de la chevelure. La couleur est très travaillée en amont et pose très peu de temps pour obtenir un reflet immédiat et subtil

Explanation:
"En amont" literally means "upstream of", but in this context, it means that the hair colour is thoroughly mixed together prior to being applied to the hair.

Hope this helps.

I forgot the earlier part of the phrase "très travaillée", which means, in this context, thoroughly mixed - hair colour products are usually either a powder to be mixed with a liquid, or two liquids or gels and so need to be mixed together thoroughly before being applied.
