French term or phrase: cabine

"cabine VIP"

"Les esthéticiennes...également mettre au point les nouveaux soins en cabine, améliorer les protocoles de soin et en mesurer l’efficacité."

If they meant salon, they would say "institut", wouln't they?

Explanation:
I always translate this as salon. I know that institut is the actual physical salon, but it seems to me that it is common to use "cabine" to mean salon especially when comparing a product for salon use with a product for home use. Like Emma said "cabine" refers to the treatment room but in a wider sense means salon when used as an adjective.

Sorry, I didn't see the first example. Writeaway is right, in the first example ("cabine VIP") cabine is being used as a noun and refers to the actual treatment room.

In the second example "cabine" is being used as an adjective and means salon. "Soins en cabine" = "salon treatments"
