Cosmetics, Beauty
French term or phrase: pelucher
This comes from a survey following the clinical trial of a facial cream.
The item reads:

"Le produit ne peluche pas."

I know the term for fabric, but what do we say for a moisturizer??

All suggestions gratefully received.

This was a hard one to score, no clear-cut answers and many helpful suggestions. In the end I did go with "pill" as a verb, but with quotation marks. Thanks to all for the feedback!

agree  Joshua Pepper: Yes, it seems that there is a slight nuance between "balling up" and "skin peeling": the "balls" contain both dead skin and moisturizer. EDIT: perhaps "balling up" is slightly too informal for this context though?

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thank you for this suggestion. I did not use it because I think of clumps as being bigger (I believe I have seen "paquets" in French), like for mascara. But in a pinch it could have worked.
