Thanks. It might be "globale" for Europe (not the entire world), because that's what they usually focus on in the article.

Normally, FR seems to use 'global' with the sense of 'overall', reserving 'mondial' for 'worldwide'; however, that said, sadly the EN use of 'global' as 'worldwide' seems to be increasingly creeping into FR usage — I have even seen the same word used with both meanings in the same document!

Here, my instinctive reaction was 'overall' — but then I realized that as they were talking about exchange rates, the meaning of 'worldwide' could indeed apply here!

I think you'll have to see if your document gives you any other clues: are they talking, for example, exclusively about Europe, or is there indeed a worldwide component?

I'd be very wary of committing one way or the other without first trying to disambiguate.
