French to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Education / Pedagogy / Diploma/degree courses France | | French term or phrase: 'avec développement de licences' | I have looked up the courses mentioned in the text below and have found information on them, but am still wondering exactly what 'avec développement de licences' means:
Le site de X (higher education establishment) regroupe trois formations avec le développement de licences :
Organisation et Génie de la Production (OGP)
Génie Electrique et Informatique Industrielle (GE2I)
Sciences et Techniques Activités Physiques et Sportives ( STAPS)
Could it perhaps mean that they are not necessarily degrees (at least one would appear to be a DUT or Diplome Universitaire de Technologie) but can be taken as degrees? It sounds a bit vague to me.
Or does it perhaps mean that these degree courses are still being developed, perhaps? |

I believe it is exactly what you said at the end: they are still defining the details of the degree course. Under the new LMD (Licence - Master - Doctorat) scheme, universities are scrambling to re-jig their degree courses and offer exciting, new-and-improved options, colours, shapes, flavours, etc. etc.
