I think I would just use technical education or hands-on technical education.
It is usually Travaux Manuels in French.

Explanation: is what it is called in British schools nowadays.
It is up to you to decide whether you want to use a literal translation or the phrase currently used. I'd go gor the latter, since it means exactly the same thing.
