French term or phrase: Rêvé pour unifier, pour égaliser sans la sélection qui départage
Gouverné par la vulgate égalitariste qui nie la diversité des milieux et des savoirs – celle de la vie –, le système produit le même effet pervers que le « modèle social ». Rêvé pour unifier, pour égaliser sans la sélection qui départage, il ressuscite en fait la plus criante des inégalités.

The system is the French education system. I'm can't work out what "Rêvé" means and would appreciate your suggestions for the sentence. Thanks very much

Explanation:
Initially (the dream design) designed to unify, to (equalize) even out chances without (a segregative) selection, it actually reactivates the worse inequalities...

Devised to unify and equalize (society) without divisive preferences

Explanation:
Hello,

I don't like "dreamt up" as a translation for "rêvé" in this context.
I prefer "devised", which means "to be imagined/dreamt up.

Thus,

"devised to unify and equalize"

sélection qui départage = divisive preferences (what one selects is what one prefers in this context: selection = preference)

devised to unify and equalize without

Example sentence(s):
  • Racial equality and unity can only be achieved by first eradicating divisive racial preferences on behalf of governmental institutions.
