These refer to someone's progress as a student thru' a technical college. There is also the term 'Tle T'. Thank you.

1st and 2nd year of "technical baccalaureate"
Explanation:
The student went through the "technology" cursus at "the lycee (upper secondary = last year called "Terminale" or Tle - "T" for Technology) to get the (French style) 'technological' Baccalaureate, i.e. end of secondary school, then began professional classes (equivalent of N-American technical colleges) to get the BTS, a 2 year course: 1TS and 2TS

disagree  Drmanu49: Sorry but this entry is completely wrong unles you consider the technical baccalaureate to be a BTS which is not the case.

  -> Baccalaureate has not the same meaning in France and outside France, though I agree at daylight, it might be a college degree rather than a technical Baccalaureate, hence the quote marks
