don't think so Natasha. It really is for students who have in theory just failed the Bac. The oral is to see if they can be 'saved' (may have done unexpectedly badly in one or other subject) and given the Bac. Doc. may be certificate for this exam take.
Would it be something like a "remediation exam"? I also see "remedial exam" used... as in 'rattrapage'? But I'm really not sure what your document is referring to, Amy. I'm just going by Alain's explanation...
Well, they're not strictly speaking retakes, as the students don't take the same exam again, but they're oral exams where the students are asked other questions about the particular subject to see if they know enough to be allowed through.
