cluster - an off the wall suggestion Explanation: Where I work I had to find a translation for our "pôles thématiques" (the NGO is divided into 'pôles' (or semi-independent teams) based on their fields of intervention)... we eventually chose "clusters" (thematic clusters, to be specific). I also remember having to take "cluster requirements" at my university in the US (groups of classes clustered around a common theme but not on exactly the same subject... ie one was: introductions to sociolinguistics, linguistic anthropology, and psycholinguistics). Even if cluster is no good for your questionnaire, try getting away from the word to be translated ('pôle') and examine closely how/why the sections of the questionnaire are grouped as they are... which might give you a few better ideas. (Chapters, sections, thematic groups, topics, subjects, etc...) |
