advanced tracking chip

Explanation:
Similar to the other answer I know...

Previously, animals that were 'chipped', ie. a microchip placed inside of them, could be identified if they were lost. However, this is an advancement, as now the chip would be GPS enabled. Vous-voulez me répondre en francais?

why i put the (-) in there i don't know...

Let me clarify for those who don't read my words so closely - when an animal is 'chipped' as we say in the UK, it means a chip is placed INSIDE of them. When the pet is lost, and taken to the RSPCA, or a veternarian, they are scanned and the chip contains information about the owner. This is clearly a new development. The chip contains GPS technology so the pet's location can be determined remotely. That is why i say 'advanced' and 'tracking' - and we refer to the implant in the animal as a 'chip'

disagree  xxxBourth: Implant, so not in the collar

  -> My error

disagree  Tony M: No, Tom, the Asker quite clearly states that it is worn on the animal's collar, and so is NOT am implanted chip; this is an EXTERNAL pet tracking device. // Don't take it to heart so, pal!

  -> This is embarrasing - i even read 'in the collar'... right this is the last time i do Proz.com - i'm not cut out for this - and im sorry I haven't replied to your e-mails, I'm very busy here but i will. Last I'll c u on Proz.com anyway. I quit!
