In a text about GPS signal processing, referring in particular to PLL and DLL loops:

"La démodulation ne peut être effectuée que lorsque ces deux boucles sont accrochées. La boucle de code étant en général plus robuste que la boucle de phase, la démodulation ne peut être effectuée que lorsque le rapport signal sur densité spectrale de bruit du signal reçu dépasse le seuil d'accrochage de la boucle de phase."
