Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks! The only thing I can add about context is that this device is being installed in an apartment that is part of a restoration program for a castle in France. It's part of a list.

Asker: Oh dear. This is about some electrical installation... does anyone else have any ideas about this term? I can't find anything anywhere...

Asker: Thanks so much for your help

neutral  Tony M: I have the gravest doubts that this would eb the right term, but without more context, it is hard to say.
