I've been asked to translate an old "norme" from 1989 (I have no idea why...!), and I have come across this term. The problem is not simply a terminological one.. I'm struggling for any conceptual grasp of what this might be. Context:

"Le test électrique, séquence de tests unitaires de continuité et d'absence de court-circuit selon NF C 93-716, requis pour les essais de réception des lots de livraison est defini, sur proposition du fabricant avec accord du client, par le programme du banc de test automatique. Les caractéristiques de ce dernier et la configuration de la carte peuvent ne pas permettre toutes les verifications ; un programme de test partiel est alors defini en précisant les tests unitaires effectues (paires de points entre lesquels sont verifies la continuité et/ou l'absence de court-circuit).
Note :
Les marques laissées par les pointes de test sur les plages pour report de CMS sont indesirables ; chaque fois que possible le contact de test sera établi sur la pastille de test."
