It's for an x-ray machine that scans items being passed through and sends the results to a computer monitor. Not sure what cellule de présence means though...

After googling, I hvn't find any result about "cellule de présence". Though I think it's referred to a kind of photoelectric cell to detect the presence of two products (referred to parts) which is just what the system is to verify.

le basculeur = 2-position relay
l’intermédiaire des cellules de présence pièce sur le basculeur = the intermediary of the part presence detecting (photoelectric) cells on the 2-position relay.

According to the context followed, we can see that, with the installation, there are 2 presence detecting (photoelectric) cells on each relay.

neutral  Tony M: You're probably right about its being a photoelectric cell, but wiser not to specify. Here, the 'basculeur' has nothing to do with a c/o relay, so the rest of your explanation is way off.
