I'm trying to be vague here since without more info it is impossible to know if this really IS a suction cup or merely a thing that looks like a suction cup but which only serves as a rubbery interface between the two items. IOW, does "coupleur magnétique" refer to some form of electromagnetic/inductive jiggerypokery that causes one device to take readings from another, or simply a form of magnetic attachment connecting the two devices (in which case there must be steel beneath the 'capot').
