dock
Explanation:
The word used in yr text. I have a dock (Belkin) sitting on the desk right in front of me, for connecting the laptop I work on to a separate flat screen, a cordless keyboard and mouse, an external hard drive, and providing extra USB ports.

Dredging up the box it came in, I see they call it a "dock station". I think "docking station" is also said. In your text they appear to use "dock" where I might have said "port".

connecter module

Explanation:
it seems to be describing a supplementary box/enclosure containing a few I/O terminals/sockets. In this case, just "connector box" might suffice, but "module" is suitably non-specific.
