French to English translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Electronics / Elect Eng / cabling | | French term or phrase: clip de protection de languette ‘anti-snag’ | Hi all,
While translating the tender specifications for a contract regarding telephone and data cabling, I came across this term. I sort of have an idea of what it is, but I was hoping someone who is a native speaker and/or a specialist in this field could tell me what to call this in US English. I know "anti-snag boot" is a term, but I am not sure whether or not that is the appropriate term here. Thanks!
"Les cordons de brassage sont pourvus d’un wire management dans le connecteur qui assure une performance continu. Les cordons ont un clip de protection de languette ‘anti-snag’ et sont disponibles avec un manchon qui ne dépasse pas la largeur d’un connecteur RJ45 afin de permettre l’utilisation de ces cordons pour des serveurs blade." |
