I am still deliberating on the small electronics section of an otherwise marketing document. Grand Dictionnaire identifies 'blocs de jonction' as either 'terminal blocks' (in the electrical sense) or 'tie-point blocks' (in the electronics sense). Does anyone out there know how (or indeed if) these differ and which it is likely to be. The context is electronics-based. I know Google ain't the Gospel, but there are more hits for t

Just to confuse the issue
Explanation: you also have "junction blocks", in the electrical field. Often called "domino" in French. They are those little plastic thingees with a hole and a screw at each end for securing two conductors, and usually with a bare hole in the middle. If the central hole is used to secure them to a device they become terminal blocks, or, if they are not separated from each other (they usually come in strips of varying numbers, depending on their size (itself dependent on the intended conductor diameter)), they become a terminal strip.
