Explanation: "borne" and "terminal" are similar if used as noun. But here "terminal" is adjective.
en terminal
conductive part of a device, electric circuit or electric network, provided for connecting that device, electric circuit or electric network to one or more external conductors

fr terminal
borne, f

Why the links provided by Liz do not support her proposal:
Most links are unilingual, what not allow verification, only the Wago-link has as sister page in French.
A range of rail-mounted terminal blocks for all industrial and Exe applications as well as building installation. All terminal blocks with CAGE CLAMP® S connection. http://www.wago.us/products/278.htm
No mention of “bornes terminals”. Note: As electrical engineer and factory inspector I know the WAGO products very well, including that shown.
The Howrah-Page shows a terminal connector, as used for terminating cables in substations or for overhead lines. But again, no proof is given for the French equivalent. The same is valid for the Kaibogroup-page.
Even Linguee does not translates “terminal connector” by “borne terminal”, but by “connecteur de la borne”. Observe the inversion (Sic!).
You can input the audio of an external device, (such as a Portable music player) to the AUX Input Terminal connector of this unit. alpine.ch
[...] d'un périphérique externe (un lecteur portable, par exemple) au connecteur de la borne d'entrée AUX de cet appareil. alpine.ch http://www.linguee.fr/francais-anglais/search?source=auto&qu...
The term “terminal connector” exists, but is translated differently:

I have to add what "traversée" means. Apart from the standard "IEC 61378-2" linked in the discussion, the IEC glossary (Electropedia) has explained that term:
en (insulating) bushing
insulator forming a passage for a conductor through a non-insulating partition
fr isolateur de traversée, m
traversée, f
isolateur permettant le passage d'un conducteur à travers une paroi non isolante http://www.electropedia.org/iev/iev.nsf/display?openform&iev...
en bushing type current transformer
a current transformer without primary conductor and primary insulation of its own which can be fitted directly over an insulated bushing or conductor
fr transformateur de courant pour traversée
transformateur de courant sans enroulement primaire et sans isolation propre qui peut être disposé directement sur une traversée ou sur un conducteur isolé http://www.electropedia.org/iev/iev.nsf/display?openform&iev...
Other than in French, the adjective preceeds the noun, normally.
Cf. "the wonderful present" = "le cadeau merveilleux". In French, the adjective follows the noun, except for short nouns like grand (le grand cité = the big city).
In fact, the title "Bornes terminales" contains a noun "la borne" and its ajective "terminale". This must be inversed for English "terminal terminal", or better "terminating, final or ending terminal, to avoid any confusion, as "terminal" has two meanings, the noun "terminal" (deducted from terminal block" and the adjective "terminal".

Be warned however that I am in no way a technically-minded person, so would advise cross-checking.
