French to English translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Energy / Power Generation / wind turbines | | French term or phrase: exercés à l'axe | Hello!
Dans le domaine éolien, les pales d’éolienne subissent non seulement des efforts importants dans l’axe de la/chaque pale (efforts dits axiaux), mais également de très importants efforts exercés radialement à l’axe de la pale et du moyeu de rotor (efforts dits alors radiaux).
My try:
In the wind turbine field, the wind turbine blades are not only subjected to important efforts in the axis of the/each blade (stress called axial), but also very important stress radially …. with respect to the blade axis and the rotor hub (stress thus called radial).
Can it be “acted”? I found it in my vocab, but have forgotten where I got it from
acted radially with respect to the blade axis?
Your help is highly appreciated

| | acting along the axis | Explanation: I think in EN we're more likely to use the present rather than past participle.
But do watch out, Loulou — there are many other errors in your draught translation, which does not read at all naturally in EN, I'm afraid. |
